K1 visa when Fiancee lives in different country than resident?
Question by wyohuskerfan: K1 Visa when Fiancee lives in different country than resident?
My fiancee currently lives in Indonesia where she was born. She does have her UK citizenship and moved back to Indo about a year ago.
We believe that it would be easier to apply for the K1 Visa using her UK credentials. Does she have to move back to the UK for me to get her a K1 Visa with her UK citizenship?
Thanks in advance.

It makes absolutely no difference. If you are a legitimate couple, and have proof of having met at least once during the past 2 years, getting approval for the K-1 will be a formality.
The US Consulate in London is most likely more busy processing immigrant/non-immigrant visas than the US Consulate in Jakarta. It might be faster in Indonesia by a few months.
