Is BEE a spade or a Fu##ing shovel?

Lets call a spade a spade and stop messing around with polite euphemisms.
South Africa has always been plagued by the use of euphemisms.
We get Load shedding when every one knows they are just plain old power cuts.
In the old days we also knew what was meant by “Make a plan” …
There are many more but I don’t want to dwell on them now.
This question I am wanting someone to try and answer is what’s the difference between the policy in Zimbabwe and the idiotic south African policy of BEE.
The recipients of these shareholdings bring nothing to the companies they take over. They are not required prior to the transactions taking place and after in only a few instances do the contribute in any meaningful way. They are as useless as a nodding dog in the back window of a car. This does not stop them exercising all manner of arrogant and egotistical behaviors.
In south Africa the general public are told that black economic empowerment is a vital part of democracy. This is illogical and rubbish especially when you analyse what the anc means by democracy – winner take all, one party state etc.
In Zimbabwe they say blacks will take or be given 51% of all businesses. In south Africa the Government has coerced the business sector to except a BEE quota of 25%.
What is the difference between the two?
I cannot see any.
I have studied Economics at a higher tertiary level and nowhere in any text book, paper or other reputable academic work have I come across a model for long-term prosperity that uses this - you give or we take mentality.
Is south Africa any different to Zimbabwe?
No I don’t believe it is. The government is prescribing levels of ownership based on nothing more than a whim. In the future they will increase these arbitrary levels to appease the more radical within their ranks.
BEE and the Zimbabwe give me or I will take 51% of your business idea are one and the same. They are simply presented in a different manner.
South Africa look north if you want to see where your economy is heading. Admittedly at a slower pace than zim but because your govermunt is adopting the same illogical even stupid economic policies your destiny can be assured, Zim style.
